What QuranicPro saves about you

QuranicPro has no sign-up. This page tells you what is saved, where it is saved, and for how long. Last updated 14 October 2026.

Your guest profile

When you first open the app, we make a random guest profile for your browser. It has no name, email address or phone number. Everything below belongs only to that profile.

There is no way to get a lost profile back, and your progress does not move to another phone or computer. If you clear your browser's site data, you can lose your progress.

What we save on our server

  • Your learning: the words you have seen, your answers and scores, when to practise each word again, and your practice days.
  • Your settings: new words a day, the days you learn, how hard the words are, your time zone, and your reminder choices.
  • Reminders, only if you turn them on: a code that names your device, called a Firebase Installation ID, for each device or browser you turn on. We also save the time, time zone and days you choose, and what happened to the last reminder. The code is kept private. It is never shown to you or written to logs.
  • Language requests: the language name and the note you type. We do not ask for your name or email. We use the total as a sign of interest. It is not a count of people.

What we save on your device

So you can practise offline, your browser keeps a copy of your words. It also keeps your practice in progress and any answers waiting to be sent. Clearing your site data removes all of this.

Cookies

QuranicPro uses only the cookies it needs to work: one to remember your guest profile and one to keep your forms safe. There are no ads and no tracking cookies. Our fonts come from QuranicPro itself, not from another company.

Other companies

If you turn on reminders, Google Firebase sends the reminder to your phone. Google gets your device's code and the words of the message. The message is always the same ("Your Quranic Arabic practice is ready.") and has no scores or personal details. If you never turn on reminders, we send nothing to Firebase.

Where the Quran text comes from

Quran text: Tanzil Project (tanzil.net), licensed CC BY 3.0. The verses shown with some words are copied without changes from tanzil.net, where you can see updates to the text.

How long we keep things

  • If a guest profile is not used for 180 days, we delete it, along with its progress, settings and language requests.
  • When a profile is deleted, its reminders are deleted too. No more reminders are sent.
  • A device's reminders pause if you do not open the app for 30 days. Opening QuranicPro on that device resumes them.
  • If Google says a device code is no longer good, we delete it.
  • You can turn reminders off at any time in Settings. That stops them and deletes the device's code.

Deleting your data

We have no accounts, so we cannot tell which guest profile is yours. To remove what is on your device, clear your browser's site data. What we keep on our server for a profile that is no longer used is deleted after the time above.
